This January Christie’s hosts a unique exhibition in the impressive setting of the Museum of Mankind beside the Royal Academy, showcasing the collecting spirit at its most varied: an assembly of exquisite art and objects spanning 500 years, an unrivalled group of etchings by the late Lucien Freud and an insight into the eclectic tastes of young collectors at their most expressive.
Living With Art – A Private European Collection represents more than 150 masterpieces from the dawn of the Renaissance to the present day. Assembled with a profound sense of connoisseurship, it reflects a personal yet engagingly universal vision of beauty.
Comprising 45 prints, The Printer’s Proof: Etchings by Lucian Freud from the Studio Prints Archive presents a unique insight into Freud’s printmaking and his twenty-five year relationship with the printer that realised his vision.

This public exhibition is a unique opportunity for visitors to gain an insight into the diverse and discerning tastes of a contemporary generation of art collectors.
